As my chapter of being a university student and student teacher comes to a close, I am eagerly anticipating the newest experience of being a full time teacher! I love living in the Boise/Meridian area and can't ever see myself leaving, so I would prefer to be employed within those districts. In the next five to ten years I would like to gain more experience in the classroom before returning to university to work towards a graduate degree in curriculum and instruction. If I stayed in the classroom for the rest of my career I would likely be very happy! I feel highly motivated to learn and grow in all aspects of education/teaching so that I can have a positive impact on the students I am responsible for teaching. I intend to be open to all possibilities in regard to my career and can't wait to see what the future holds. In regard to my professional commitment and resposibility, it is my sincere goal to make every student who enters my classroom feel welcome and safe. I will be a model of making positive choices and expectations while adapting learning experiences to meet the diverse needs of my students. Upon leaving my classroom I hope that my students will have become more thoughtful and responsible citizens.
